Examorelin (also known as Hexarelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide growth hormone secretagogue developed by Mediolanum Farmaceutici. It was derived from GHRP-6 by the addition of two methyl groups to the tryptophan residue to enhance stability and receptor affinity.
Research protocols typically use 200-300 mcg/day, divided into 100 mcg doses administered 2-3 times daily via subcutaneous injection. Cycles of 8-12 weeks followed by 4-6 week breaks are common to prevent receptor desensitization. Partial tolerance to GH-releasing effects develops with prolonged use (50-75% decrease over weeks to months). Note: Examorelin and Hexarelin are the same compound.
Mechanisms of Action
4Benefits
6Growth hormone release
HormonalPotent stimulation of pulsatile GH secretion from the anterior pituitary, with IGF-1 elevation up to 220% above baseline reported in studies.
Lean muscle growth
Body CompositionPromotes increased lean muscle mass through elevated GH and IGF-1 signaling, supporting protein synthesis and nitrogen retention.
Fat loss
Body CompositionAccelerated fat metabolism via GH-mediated lipolysis pathways.
Cardioprotection
LongevityDirect cardioprotective effects through endothelial nitric oxide synthase activation and improved cardiac contractility. Reduced infarct size by 25-40% in animal models of ischemia-reperfusion injury.
Tissue recovery
RecoveryEnhanced tendon and ligament strength, improved joint health, and faster recovery from injuries and training.
Improved sleep quality
SleepGH release patterns may improve deep sleep quality and overall energy levels.
